Sorry, but there won’t be a recap of Week IV – this blogger just has too much to prepare for the finals. I really am looking forward to this weeks game though – It will be interesting to see what goes down heading into the Championship.
Speaking of which,
here’s what that final week will look like. First of all, everyone, including the last place team, will have a chance to win. In the Championship (Week VI), the 1st and 2nd place teams will have a first-round bye with 3rd place taking on 6th and 4th place against 5th in the first round. In the second round of games, the winner of the 3rd place v 6th place match will take on the 2nd seed and the winner of the other match will take on the 1st place seed. There will be a third place game preceding the final. In case that makes no sense, see the bracket below:
Here’s the low-down on what’s on the line heading into Week V: As Team Robinho had first place locked up long ago, the second spot is up for grabs between Teams Drogba and Dempsey, who happen to square-off in the first match of the night. This is without question a game to watch with the two sides neck-and-neck in points and Team Dempsey ahead by just +1 in Goal Differential.
There is also a battle to be fought in the bottom half of the table as all three teams are within each others’ reach. Team Ronaldo better be careful as even Team Zlatan still can overtake them given some crazy scenarios coming to life.
It should be a very exciting week and we hope to see 100% attendance as we will be filling everyone in on what the Winners will get to take home. Everyone is still in it so you all better bring it. See you out there.
*A little footnote: since we’re all getting tired of hearing the Jonas Brothers, I am taking music requests. If you have some favorite songs or artists that you would like to hear played, please send me an email at with your requests.
